So, maybe no one else but Lacey will think this is funny, but it's craft related so worth sharing... If you know me, you know I love to sew and I love all things Heather Bailey... It all started with this dress 2 years ago... I found the fabric at a fabric store, found her blog, I was smitten... (yes that dress was a major pain to sew)

Fast forward- she is teaching at Creative Escape... I get up the nerve to go say "Hi'... and think to myself:
"self, what do you say to her... don't act like a stalker, don't act like a stalker." fast forward to this photo:
Conversation goes like this:
Me: "Hi, I have a dear friend, her Sister in Law helps you out sometimes, she was the model for your apron pattern."
Heather: "Who? how do you know her? You mean Jill?"
Me: "Yes Jill, I am good friends with her sister in law"
Heather: "Oh, she said he had some family that had a friend that really loved my stuff."
Me: "Um, yeah that would be me."
Followed by a few- I love your stuff... and a whole lot of other stupid things coming out of my mouth...
We chatted a few more minutes....
Loved her class! She really is so nice in real life, and a great teacher, I felt so inspired! I also felt like I wanted to sit down and take her to lunch or something... I could have talked her ear off, not sure how she felt LOL!
I'll post photos later... (I'll get them up of all the classes, I'm just so FAR behind after being gone)

AHHHH!!! I would LOVE to meet her! I think I may get teh chance this month. Rumor has it she'll be appearing at my favorite FAbric store here. She's a key note speaker a ta Convention here in a few weeks but it's pretty pricy to attend. SAD!!!

a similar thing happened to me with the amazing Amy Butler. Except she didn't get to say a lot I pretty much just spoke at her. There's always next time.
I met Heather a few weeks ago at an event in Utah. She was very nice and seemed like a "real" person. But, she was wearing the exact same outfit when I saw her at in the picture you have with her. Too fun...even the same orange flower.
i am a bit jealous! she's one of my favorite designers. good for you for getting up the nerve to talk with her!
