Laptop out of the ICU and why I'm blogging...

So I was half way through blogging the rest of my photos from Creative Escape when my laptop caught a bug... it coughed, gasped, wheezed, whined, and snorted to a halt... even though my virus software was 10000% up to date it still got sick and died a slow and untimely death....

So all my "big" plans for sharing the rest of my projects and finishing a couple of skirt tutorials for the weekend were put on hold as I worked in to the wee hours trying to rescue it from the vicious hold of the evil computer bug....

In the end it died...

Got a new laptop yesterday- was able to slurp all my important stuff off the old hard drive on to the new one... This is the 2nd time this has happened so, we are changing teams, Apple here we come.

You really wanted to know all that didn't you? (promise this will STAY a craft blog!)

The reason I post this is that it brings me to a point I wanted to make.  When I was in Arizona, a friend of mine asked me why I had a craft blog. I said "One day I figured out how to do something, (craft related)  it took a while to figure it out, I thought other people might like to know how I figured it out too."

When I get stuck (putting in a zipper, looking for an idea for a teacher gift etc)... I turn to the web first, I can always find what I'm looking for... this is my contribution to all that is out there.

Right now it's really that simple. I LOVE this blog, it makes me excited to craft and to share so it keeps me crafting.   A few exciting things have happened to me because of it (like Moda Bake Shop) and I hope more exciting things will happen in the future, but that's not why I'm doing this.

So in that sprit, I want to share with you what I made at Creative Escape, this was the 4th year, and I have wanted to go every year.  Since I didn't go I wanted to see what everyone made there and because I went this year, I thought someone might like to see what we did there.

Feel free to ask questions about the projects, out of respect for the teachers, I'm not going to post step by step directions, but I'd be happy to answer anyone's questions about any techniques, colors measurements etc...

Okay, NOW on to the rest of the projects... (barring any further computer meltdowns)
