The Twilight before Christmas...

saw this on Margie Aslett's blog... it was too funny not to share, I'm not sure where she got it.

So what are we t-minus 4 days?!??!

How are ya'll holding up out there????  Done, almost done, not even close to done? Having a mild nervous breakdown?!?!?!?

Personally, I'm doing pretty good here.  Now that is NOT so say that I'm not done with all my Christmas craftiness... actually far from it!  But I did have a great weekend. We went to see A Christmas Carol Saturday night and all of the beautiful Christmas music at church today has really put me in the Christmas "mood".

As for the craftiness... well--- I still haven't decided on a neighbor gift and I decided to make a lap quilt for each child this year...(I have 3 kids). They seemed to transition this year to asking for gifts that "plug in"... rather than just good ole' toys, so I decided that they need something soft and handmade to balance out all the electronic noise that will be in our house on Christmas day....

Well, of those 3 quilts... 2 are pieced, and one is cut out...

As for the neighbor gifts... we'll I started 5 years ago delivering them on Christmas Eve, mostly because I wasn't done with them until then.... then it became a tradition... (even after one year that we ate 10pm  because it took longer to drive around than we thought)... A friend even told me (after I was apologizing for not given her anything yet)... "Melissa, it's tradition, you always bring them over on Christmas Eve"... So I will claim "tradition" not "lack of time"... for my 11th hour gift deliveries.

oh yeah- did I mention I STILL need to decide what I'm doing for neighbor gifts?!?!?

On a positive note, I did manage to mail the package to my family this week (on the last possible day to guarantee Christmas delivery, but hey, it still got mailed),  plan and execute the 3rd grade Holiday party (complete with craft)... make 2 big teacher gifts and 8 smaller gifts for the specials teachers and our great bus driver, wrap 90% of my kids presents & EVEN clean my craft room (I know, amazing huh! don't pass out!).

So…… on a lighter note... because it's fun to have a "lighter note" when it comes to being behind at Christmas time...here is a video that I watched last year and was just too funny not to share.

Are you a "twi-hard"??? I've read all the books and I even went to see New Moon at 12:40 AM the day it came out... but I'm not a "twi-hard"... although it does sound like I am doesn't it?!?!?  (personally, I would not pick either Edward or Jacob, but that's just me)...

Anyway, check this out.. it's hilarious!

I have a few more presents to wrap, and I need to buy one more. Then I am done. Thankfully! :)
