Well I never said I was a "quick" quilter..... I got it back from Angela at Quilted Joy right before Thanksgiving.
Then it sat...
and sat...
and sat...
waiting to be bound.
You see I got a bit busy at Christmas time....
Then my daughter decided that she was ready for it to be ON her bed, and promptly took the old quilt OFF her bed, and began sleeping with a pile of blankets....
then it got cold... I mean really cold...
so my good ole' mommy guilt kicked in and last week I bound it for her! After much indecision, I bound it in one of the pink prints that I used in the blocks.
*it's a dark and dreary day today.. sorry for the not great photo...*
It gives the room so much more pizzaz! I really wanted to bring out the black in her bed and her dresser... I'd take a photo of the rest of the room but she's 14... you can guess what it looks like.
There are some photos here, of it in cleaner days.
Now she is warm snuggled up in it...

Now just to make pillow shams for it... I wonder how long that will take?

It's darling Melissa! My favorite thing about Kari's room HAS to be her curtains, they are to die for!
Wow-that is beautiful!! Love the fabric and colors. Don't let me girls see it-we have to do their room over and I haven't started yet!!
Super cute...your daughter is a lucky girl that her mom is so creative and her room is set up and decorated so cute by you.
Hope you are doing well.
