Hey today is the fourteenth of May! Ready for a Giveaway???

Last year when I was trying to think of a name for the company I wanted to start and I was stumped. Really stumped. I went through a dozen different ideas and all were nixed either by my kids, my husband or myself.

Then one day I remember hearing some advice about starting your own company, "find what is unique about you." So I started thinking of things that were unique to me...  Since it would not have been wise to call the company "patterns by a girl who sews much, cleans little and drinks too much Diet Coke." I decided in the end just to go with my birthday.

Now you may think I chose this name as part of an evil scheme to make sure that everyone remembered my birthday... and you'd be wrong (but only partially). You see whilst the name of the company gives me good reason to make sure everyone remembers my birthday, you are the ones getting the gift today (or at least one lucky one of you).

See today is May 14th... so it ONLY makes sense for me to host a giveaway.

Since you might want to make something with one of those patterns..

I picked them because I thought they'd be perfect for making the June Bag, so bright and summery !! Just right for a summer vacation purse.

The patterns will be emailed to you and the fat quarters will be mailed to you, along with a little surprise from me :)

I have more plans for the future, lots of ideas that I want to get off the ground and new ways to grow and expand. Right now I'm just taking it a step at a time and I can't wait to see what kind of giveaway I can host NEXT May 14th!!
