Past Projects week: Post #4 Twirly Beach Skirt

For our Spring Break trip, I made this skirt & tank top for my daughter. We were not going to be home for Easter and I thought it would make a cute alternative to an Easter dress.

It’s my two layer skrit tutorial made with some much searched for and found Heather Ross Fabric!

I just cut out a Sea horse for the tank top and appliqued it on.  I keep meaning to add little “ruffles” to the sleeves but so far it’s hasn’t’ happened yet :)

Oh super cute!!!! I love the little detail of the ric-rac!

I have so much fabric that I have been hording so I can make my girls some clothes, but sadly I’m more of a quilt sewer vs a clothes sewer. I hope to get my buns in gear and figure it all out.
