okay,
I'm back...
It's amazing how a little "break" can refresh you when you need it. Every few months I have a "what am I doing???" bloggy breakdown.. It lasts a day or two then I'm ready to be back to creating and blogging again. Just a normal "ebb and flow" of creativity I think. I figured that honesty is always the best policy.. I get asked a lot how I can get so much accomplished and the answer is that simply...
I don't...
I just share with you guys the stuff that DOES get done so sometimes it seems I'm more productive than I actually am. I have a personal goal to "do something creative everyday". I recharges me and relaxes me, and helps me to have the energy to accomplish all of the other stuff I need to do. But every once and a while, I get overwhelmed just like everyone else....
So... break over!
I stopped by my local heirloom sewing shop this week and got some fun stuff for Easter dresses. I decided I'd rather just follow a pattern this year than try to come up with something new. I'm really excited about it! I love the bright green and pink- so fun and Springy!!
Any guesses what I'll be doing at 11:30 pm tonight? Yeah, probably sewing...

I am a huge fan of Oliver + S! I really like the fabrics you chose. I'm sure the dresses will be fabulous, as always.
Looks cute so far! I hope you'll share the finished product!!
Don't we all need a break sometimes! Can't wait to see how your dress turns out! :)
I love pink and green together! So fresh. That pleaset trim is fabulous! Did you make it or does it come pleated?
I'll be sewing tonight as well for Easter. Hate procrastinating it but it just happens. Super cute beginnings of a dress. I love patterns. Tutorials are great but I also enjoy exact measurements for each size. I justify buying patterns by saying I'm paying for a sewing lesson because I usually always learn something new with each pattern. $10.oo for a lesson is much cheaper then taking a class.
Can't wait to see your Easter dresses! Would you be able to share instructions for making a key fob?
Hey - who doesn't need a break sometimes!?! I LOVE this pattern and I must have it. Thanks for reminding me about it!
