I don’t usually share too many WIP’s here (works in progress) but thought I’d pop in today and share with you what’s really inspiring me right now.
I had the BEST trip with my kids to shop for Halloween costume stuff last weekend. I can tell you that and not brag becuase most trips to the craft stores with my kids are not the best, if you know what I mean *wink wink*… This time was good though, I swear, my kids came up with better ideas than I ever could.
After an afternoon of “Moooom, why can’t you JUST buy me a Halloween costume???” (I’m a bit neurotic about making Halloween costumes, one of my FAVORITE all time projects ALL YEAR!)… We left the store with a plan that we are all ECSTATIC and happy about.
This year we’ll be one of those families all dressed up and matching- yes, we are going to be THOSE people! We wanted to go as the Dunphy’s on Modern Family, but we all agreed that would not be much a of a costume. So we will settle for Witches & Headless Horsemen.
So right now these are the things that are inspiring me… Watch for them to hopefully be turned into projects here to share this month:
-Cheap plastic rhinestones
-Witches hats- really really inspired by witches hats right now!
-Googly Eyes!
-Bold graphic fabrics
-Lace, eyelet and doilies
-Spiders
-Velvet and satin
-Feathers
-Glitter, lots and lots of glitter
Happy Thursday ya’ll- and tell me….

Sound like fun, can’t wait to see these projects.

very exciting! I wish I could think of something fun to make…I need to flip through books/mags with my kids to think something up.
I’m loving all things Halloween—gearing up with projects using lace, velvet, and feathers…I really love this time of year.

Right now I actually am inspired by being organized. I enjoy scrapbooking and it’s important to me to have pages recording things that are significant to me, but I’m always behind. Recently I printed a bunch of pictures, organized them by event/theme, made one trip to the store and got some paper/embellishments that I liked for each, and put each set in a 12×12 folder with the corresponding products. Now that I have everything I need assembled, whenever I have 45 minutes free I can sit down and get a page done. I’ve really been enjoying catching up, and it’s inspiring me to stay organized so I can continue to do it!
