Witches Brew

My husband likes to tease me that I drink too much Diet Coke- and I probably do… but his teasing inspired today’s project- so I can’t complain too much. My very own bottle of Witches Brew *wink*

Our local craft store (Dee’s for those of you in Louisville) has the most adorable “build your own” Witches hat display.  On it were these cute mini witch hats.  We are in the process of making one into a fascinator for my daughters Halloween costume, and I picked up an extra for this craft.

To make you just need:
2 Liter of Soda
Small Witches Hat
Styrofoam cone that will fit inside the hat
Ribbon/Flowers etc…
Scrapbook Paper
Some Digital Files

Using the Spooky Junque Brushes  and Spooky Junque Borders Kits from Rhonna Designs… & the font’s I used are Carnavale & Witched, I made a new label for the soda.  The tag line at the bottom says “Halloween without a Witch is not Halloween at all”

I just printed the words on plain white cardstock, mounted it on some scrapbook paper and glued it to the 2 liter using some super sticky tape. The white cardstock won’t go all the way around, so you’ll have to patch it in the back.

I covered the styrofoam cone with black felt, and hollowed out the center enough that it would sit on top of the soda bottle.

Then just put the witches hat on top and glued on some ribbon and a flower!

As a final touch, I added a bit of glitter to the label!

I think it would be a cute neighbor or teacher gift for Halloween- and you could use any soda that you like…Rootbeer would be really cute.

I love this idea!! It’s my favorite time of the year and I always love all your spooky decorations and projects. You never cease to amaze me!

I finally feel like my life is only semi-crazy (but hey, whose isn’t?) and I’m excited to get back into blogging. I’ve really missed it because I miss the people and seeing what everyone is up to.

It was so great to see you and Julie at Kristi’s this summer. I miss Kentucky, a lot. But, one of my brothers just interview at Louisville for medical school and another is going to interview for ob/gyn residency programs at U of L, UK and Cincy. I’ve got to get one of them out there so I have a reason to visit- often!

    Happy Halloween!!!
