Thanks where thanks is due

I just returned from the SNAP Conference in Utah.  I had a wonderful time. I learned sooo much that my head is spinning today….  One of the key things I picked up on was how important it is to be a part of the blogging community and show appreciation to others.

So I’d like to just get a bit mushy and thank a few people:

I know what you’re thinking… I’m not thanking Diet Coke

First- ALL of the ladies behind SNAP.. oh my….. I can not imagine the work that went into that conference. It was wonderful. You guys totally rocked.  Event planning takes a lot of thought, energy and enthusiasm and I just wanted to publicly thank them for all of their hard work. (I’ve got a full recap coming up this week about snap for all the curious minds out there).

nor am I thanking In N Out for opening in Utah- I’m too mad at them for not being in Kentucky *wink*

Second-  I’d be no where on this blog without having people that link to me.  While I think pinterest is the greatest invention EVER and I get an insane amount of traffic from them, I think I value more the “mom and pop” bloggers that have linked to me.  So I went on google analytics and pulled up the top 10 referrers last year and wanted to say thanks… you guys are awesome.

Third-  just a quick shout out to All Free Sewing.  There’s nothing quite like getting and email and seeing your project in it– thanks for putting me in your newsletters… makes my heart leap a bit when they show up in my inbox.

Fourth-  Thanks so much to Riley Blake Fabrics and Rhonna Designs for putting me on your design teams.  Sometimes I sit and think to myself “man they were crazy to pick me!!”… there are so many talented people in the world…

Okay enough of the “academy award” talk—-  this week we are back to SEWING!!!

I’ve got 3, yes THREE sewing projects to share with you– they are all DONE, I mean the photos are taken and everything!

and… of course I could not forget the Kentucky Derby is coming up!!!  It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Kentucky… just like in year’s past I’ve got some fun new crafts to share with you guys this year!

I am from KY too – Lexington. I am gearing up for the Derby, just bought the stuff for my HAT. We spend our Derby Day in Frankfort where we camp on the River. Being a transplant for Illinois, I never thought a thing of the derby until I moved here – now it is a yearly event for our family.

Can’t wait to see your projects. What is the great picture of gavric on your cutting board! I LOVE it!
