Goings On…

I wanted to pop in quickly here today to share a few things with you.

It’s been a bit crazy around here, schools out but our life seems to be just as busy as ever with scout camp, ballet recitals and a now working 16 yr old daughter… (yeah, just lost my summer babysitter *wink*)

2012 feels like it’s shaping up to be the year “spent on a plane”. Last weekend I made a quick trip to Salt Lake City.  My Dad’s brother passed away.  It was unexpected and I felt like I needed to be there.

While the circumstances were upsetting, I was grateful to be able to spend some time with my parents and siblings…

and adorable niece and nephews.

Seriously she’s a beauty- check out those eyes!!

While in Utah my sister and I plotted the move of my blog from blogger to wordpress.  We are pretty much figuring this out as we go, but watch for a new design this month.

Speaking of blogger— If you are subscribed to this blog using Google Friend connect… I’m not sure if the subscription will work anymore after the move to wordpress (anyone know for sure?)…

Also while in Utah I swung by the Riley Blake offices to “raid” their AMAZING fabric stash for my next Design Team project… I’m pretty excited about it, it’s a quilt this time.   I’m also am going to be making the Retro Travel bag in SUMMER COLORS… Totally preppy and cool!

Lastly,

I’m leaving soon for a very much anticipated vacation with my extended family members. I don’t think I will have internet for a couple of weeks, I know,  *gasp* withdrawals!!  (I’ll also be traveling 15 hr on a plane with 3 kids, double gasp)… Feel free to email me, but if I don’t respond right away that’s why.
Depending on how things go, I’ll probably share a bit more about our trip after I get back.

I’ve got posts scheduled to run while I’m away (or I will, after I get off my rear and sew today)… So things won’t be too quiet here.
