Embroidered Zippy Pouches

I love to make zippy pouches. They are super simple to make (don’t be afraid of the zipper) and there are a lot of possibilities to change up the look of them. Plus they are so quick to sew that they make EXCELLENT gifts! Just fill them up with a few goodies!

This zippy pouch was made as a gift last spring.  I thought that it’s a fun idea for those of you that have an embroidery sewing machine.   I just embroidered the word “glam” onto the front of the fabric before I sewed the pouch together.

I used the same technique to make this one- but used the word “pretty” instead.  The purse is the June Bag Pattern from fourteen may.

To make my zip pouches, I use the “How to make a lined Zippered Pouch” tutorial over at Skip To My Lou.

The only thing I change is that I line the outside of my pouches with fusible fleece and the  lining of the pouches with lightweight fusible interfacing.

They would also be cute to make using the monogram of your intended recipient!

      Hi!
I have a Husquvara Viking Designer One… It’s 10 years old believe it or not and still takes floppy disks! But it works great so there is not reason to get a new one…
