Giveaway: Kingdom & State

The kind folks at Kingdom & State contacted me to ask if I would be interested in reviewing some of their products.  As some one who admits to being an avid lover of  clothes I of course quickly said yes.

Kingdom & State offers a variety of layering basics.  The company started in London and has grown to the US.  They are a brand NEW company and have the goal of specializing in better quality layering pieces that are cut for the modern woman.

They sent me two pieces to review, one cap sleeve shirt and one slip skirt.

I was very excited when I received the cap sleeve shirt.  I’m tall and most of my height is in my torso. Most shirts are too short for me, so I end up wearing camisoles and cap sleeve tees almost everyday. It drives me CRAZY to bend over and not have my shirt stay tucked in.

Since I wear a shirt like this almost every day I was anxious to see the quality of the Kingdom and State shirt.    I was very impressed with the quality. The 2 things that I liked the most about it were the seamed collar and the feel of the fabric.  The fabric is smooth and not too thick (but by no means flimsy) which is great for layering under other shirts.

The other item they sent me was a slip skirt.  I always have the hardest time finding slips!  I really liked this one. It’s a nice thick anti static fabric.  It fit snug but not as snug as shape wear so I didn’t have to worry about it riding up.  I also liked that it had a smooth shape and the elastic was hidden so it didn’t show through to what I was wearing. I normally wear a medium in everything (size 8-10) and the medium in this fit me great.

I always wear a “layering” shirt. I’m always on the lookout for a new good brand. I’d love to give them a try. Thanks for reviewing and sharing.

I am not very tall but I have a hard time finding undershirts for layering that are long enough. It would be awesome to win so I can try them out.

Oh Melissa…..I did not need to hear you are tall……one more thing that makes you PERFECT!! Haha. Thanks for the chance to win such a generous gift certificate for some lovely products. Sorry I don’t do Facebook or Twitter so I can’t enter your contest that way.

These look like my heart’s desire. I too wear camisoles every day and I hate it when they ride up! I would love to find a nice brand that isn’t too short.

I am quite curious about that skirt slip… my three girls (thankfully) are modest, but the static-producing slips they have now drive them bonkers. I would love to try out a skirt that claims to be anti-static! :)

I rely on layering pieces for modesty too! I’ve really only used Downeast, but I’d love to see if I like Kingdom & State better.
