Happy Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all! I hope you are able to spend it with people that you love.

My husband and I have been married almost 20 years now.   Lots of Valentine’s days together.  What we’ve found we like the best is to have dinner with our kids at home on Valentine’s Day. No fighting the crowds and restaurants, or making reservations.

We always have Fettuccine Alfredo and Chicken Parmesan.  The real stuff.  With fresh pasta, and real cream and butter.   And the chicken has to be pounded out thin.  I had to buy the pink soda, it matched!

It’s our favorite meal and I save it for special occasions, since it’s not what you would call healthy.

This year I bought a cake for dessert.  Baking cakes is not my strongest talent in the kitchen and I’ve learned it’s better to rely on someone else’s expertise.

Just a simple place setting.  Fun cardboard chargers I found at the craft store, white china, red polka dot plates and a little LOVE note for each person.

I was looking through my photos today at past few years and I was taken back by how much my kids have changed. I almost had to double check the date of the photos.  Here are a few shots from some of our celebrations in the past.

Happy Valentine’s Day! May it be filled with LOVE!
