Welcome to Project Polka Dot! Today we are kicking off the series with one of my FAVORITE bloggers, Kari of UCreate.
Hello Polka Dot Chair readers! I’m Kari from Ucreate and I’m thrilled to be here.
I have a thing for polka dots…big time! So I couldn’t say no to Melissa’s fun polka dot series and I think she is fantastic!
I wanted to redo my 10-yr old daughter’s room and we decided to go with a…
…polka dot wall!
We were actually inspired by this photo.
I placed the polka dots in a random pattern and used vinyl dots so they could easily be removed! We used the Silhouette machine and premium white vinyl with a 5 inch circumference for each dot. So simple!
I’m in the process of making white ruffle curtains, thus the bare windows!
I can’t believe how much the polka dots add to her room! We chose to do one wall and the rest a light green color so the polka dots didn’t overwhelm the space.
I also snagged a silver chandelier from IKEA and used this tutorial to spice it up.
This adds such a “girly” touch to her bedroom!
Next up?
The duvet cover.
I have to show you this duvet I made using this fun tutorial.
I decided to use bright pink sheets instead of white for a pop of color! Oh, and see those li’l pillowcases? My daughter made those in her sewing class all by herself…she loves to sew and she’s great at it!
More polka dot love? I had to have these white polka dot sheers for her canopy bed {purchased at Walmart}.
She really wanted a corkboard so we used this frame I had in the basement. We painted it bright pink, glued some cork on the wooden insert, and she’s ready to pin away!
Last but not least…

Years ago when I was just starting to blog Kari asked me to guest post on UCreate… I was so flattered and excited! Since then the blog world has grown by leaps and bounds and I’ve always appreciated that early friendship I formed with Kari.
Make sure you stop by UCreate and tell her “hello” from me!
