Silhouette Portrait Giveaway!

Hi Guys!

I’m so excited today to be giving away one of my favorite crafting tools! A Silhouette Machine!

If you are not familiar with it, a Silhouette is a cutting device that hooks up to your computer and cuts images.  There are 2 models available, the Portrait and the Cameo, you can see a comparison chart of the two machines here.

Some of my favorite features of the Silhouette are:

-You can resize your image to nearly any size. The files are scaleable- which means you can cut something once at 1″ then cut it again at 5″ and it looks just as good.

-You can cut out nearly every font on your computer!

-You can import other images you have into the software and cut them too! I’ve had great success importing *.png images from Rhonna Designs and cutting them out.

-You can cut paper, cardstock, freezer paper, vinyl, heat transfer material, FABRIC,  chipboard and more!  The freezer paper feature is especially great if you use freezer paper for quilting.

-Images in the Silhouette store are available individually!  You only buy the ones you want to use, and most are only .99 cents. They also offer a free image download each week.

-You don’t have to be crafty or tech savvy to use this machine. It’s great for making t-shirts for kids sports teams and is perfect for school projects.

The Silhouette Portrait and Cameo come with everything you need to get started, the software is free, once you take it out of the box you’re ready to get going.

Just so you know, I have an affiliate relationship with Silhouette but I did not get my machine for free…. I bought it… and I’d buy it again.

I would use it for quilting! So many great ways the machine could be used. Thanks for the chance to win this versatile product! Have a wonderful weekend and coming week!

Was so excited to share on my Facebook Page! I have just discovered all the fun gifts I could make with friends and family that would be cherished. The Silhouette would make it easy to create borders and frames for photos that would enhance our family history story book project. We are planning a family reunion in July – I could imagine my sister’s, mom’s, aunt’s, and cousins’ interest in seeing this amazing machine work, and the fun we would have creating “make and takes” projects of picture cards to remember our family ancestors and the great time we had at our family reunion. And then afterwards – I would have the fun of creating crafting and sewing projects with the Silhouette at my home!

I’ve been drooling over these for ages. I’d use it mostly for “screen printing” tees and dresses. I’m sure it would get used in bags and housewares as well! Thank you!

I would make everything for my daughter’s upcoming birthday party! I have never had a handy dandy machine, but I know she and I would do some serious damage…

I would use it to make some really beautiful card for my local Breast Sceening Unit to sell to raise funds for additional equipment :)
