A little Dutch Inspiration

Last week was our trip to the Netherlands.  We got home safe and sound Sunday night.

I’m still trying to process it all little bit, but know that I want to share my experience there with you guys.

Travel Journal

For our upcoming trip to Amsterdam, I decided to create a little Travel Journal.    I like to sit down each night and write about what we did that day when I’m on vacation.  I’ll also staple some receipts/memorabilia into it as we go, then when I come home I’ll add in a few photos.

i amsterdam

Almost exactly 20 years ago my husband returned home from a 2 year mission for our church.  He served in the Netherlands and fell in love with the country while he was there.  Ever since we have been married we have talked about going back, but something always came up.   This year as a Christmas gift for him, (after finding a killer deal on plane tickets) I decided it was about time he went back.  
We’re headed to Amsterdam in the next few weeks, and I can’t wait to have him show me around his old stomping grounds.

Half the fun of the trip is in the planning and I’ve already started to put together a travel journal…  I plan on using the same method as previous trips to document our trip “as we go”. I’ll be sure to share the finished project with you all.
