Chalkboard Placemat Tutorial
My sister reads this blog. This is great, yet poses a problem for me. She’s not going to be surprised when she gets these for her kids for Christmas. Oh well, I think she can learn to deal with it, and I don’t believe her 5 & 3 yr olds read my blog…. and I know for sure that little Ruby, her tiny baby girl does not read it… so at least on person will be surprised on Christmas morning!

Intriguing 12 days of Christmas…
My ‘lil sis, Emily who guest blogs here occasionally is doing a 12 Days of Christmas on her blog. Her first post was up today and I’m intrigued to see what else she has planned. Seems like it will be a good walk down memory lane.
Go check it out
just a hint… remember this anyone?

Crazy mixed up blogging week!!
You have probably noticed by now that I had a guest blogger today, my sister Emily…. Please make her feel welcome and leave her lots of love (i.e. comments)… She is being modest, and is SUPER creative, like makes your brain hurt creative. She’s agreed to do guest posts here for me, so I can see what my family is up to way away in Utah.

A Quirky Crafter
Hello all! My name is Emily and I am Melissa’s little sister. Melissa has asked me to share a little bit about myself and tell you all the secrets of my kid’s quirky Halloween costumes.
Before we begin, take a moment to see them in action for the full effect:

I have the coolest sister ever!
I have the coooolest sister… she is 2 yrs younger than me and has always been way more “hip” and in the “know”… She runs the babysteals.com website…
Check out this cake she made for her son’s 4th bday! She got the idea from the “cupcake” book..
What a lucky kid my nephew is!!! I wish we could have been there to celebrate with him!
