Summer is just around the corner.  Personally, I am a great LOVER of summer.  The sunshine, the warmth, the relaxed schedules— I love it all.  Each year I am determined to remember what we did properly.

For the last few years, I’ve been trying harder to scrapbook our summers.  Today I thought I’d share how I record our summer and give you a few ideas of remembering yours.

Hopefully, you will have lots of great adventures this summer and will be anxious to get some of them recorded.

So without further adieu, here’s are some ideas to help you record “How you spent your summer vacation”

1. Create an Instagram Mini Scrapbook

Suppose you are an Instagrammer, then you might like to make this Instagram mini scrapbook.  It’s made with only simple scrapbooking supplies. I’ve even included a free printable for the cover! You don’t even need to consider yourself a “scrapbooker” to make one. A step-by-step simple tutorial is provided.

2. DIY Flip Board Tabletop Photo Album

Another idea involves a few sheets of scrapbooking paper and some binder rings and tabs from the office store.

This book was very very simply made. You can do it in an afternoon.

It’s a great way to scrapbook many pictures fast and has room to include a few of the extras like ticket stubs and other goodies.

3. Use Divided Photo Sheets to Create Quick Photo Albums

Lastly, have you seen all of the great divided-page protectors on the market now? These are all from Becky Higgins Project Life line.  I scrapbooked our Summer of 2011 using them and was done in an afternoon.

I love that I could quickly slip the photos into the protectors and still have some fun using scrapbooking supplies.

To me it’s all the fun of scrapbooking with out all of the stress of making millions of pages.

Okay, now it’s YOUR turn. Get your photos off of your camera (or your phone) and record how your family spent your summer vacation!
