We have a fun collection of “Peace, Love and _____” t-shirts at our house. I’ve even designed a few of them myself. I don’t know who thought up the idea first, but I love the fun and simplicity of it all.   I thought it would be fun to design a Halloween-themed Peace & Love graphic to use on a t-shirt or a canvas bag.

About the Trick or Treat Bags

This is a fun and easy way to DIY your own trick-or-treat bag. You do need an “e” cutting machine of some sort to make this but if you don’t have one, ask around; maybe you can borrow one from a friend, or even better, have a little “crafternoon” to make a few bags!

Since this bag is made using a pre-purchased canvas tote, there is no sewing involved!

How to Get the Free Cricut SVG File

To make the iron on for the bag (or a t-shirt), download the FREE SVG file that is found in our Cricut Library. Then load it into your cutting machine software and cut it out of iron-on material.

Cricut SVG File: Note: all files in the Library are for personal use only. You may not sell items you make with the files. To get these files into the Cricut Design space, you need to visit OUR CRICUT LIBRARY and follow the directions. When prompted, select the button and save the file as an SVG to your computer. Please do not open it in a new window. It will load as an image, not an SVG. Next, go to the Cricut Design Space page with your browser. Select NEW when the screen pops up; select IMAGE. Then select – upload. Upload the image you obtained. It’s ready to use in Design Space!

How to Cut out the Image and Iron it onto the Bag

One: You’ll need to make sure that you reverse the image.

Two: Next, peel off the excess material to reveal the design. It’s helpful to use a sharp instrument of some sort to peel away the intricate parts. This process is usually referred to as weeding.

Three: Follow the directions on the package to press the iron-on onto your surface. Make sure it’s straight before you press! If you need more help creating and cutting out an iron-on with your Cricut, make sure to check out our detailed tutorial!
