Project Sewn
Hello! I’ve been running around like crazy all month and am feeling a bit discombobulated but I wanted to take a second here and tell you that I’m going to be competing on the 2nd season of Project Sewn!
Project Sewn is a online sewing competition run by the Simple Simon Girls (whom I adore). Each week 6 designers will sew an outfit FOR THEMSELVES (yep we are talking garment sewing for adults here) and each week the audience will vote on their favorites, this goes on until only one remains.
Why I agreed to this I don’t know. I said yes then 3 days later thought “what have I gotten myself into) I’ve made ONE thing for myself in 20 years. This tunic. In January I decided to challenge myself to new things as far as sewing and blogging go and this seemed to fit in with that challenge, so I said yes.
I’ve been sketching, pinning and shopping since August and have some great ideas for my 4 looks, which are:
Week 1: Little Black Dress
Week 2: Era Inspiration (hint, you’ll never guess which era I chose)
Week 3: Graphic Print
Week 4: Signature Style
We’ll see how this goes. I just keep telling myself one step at a time, but I’m a bit intimidated, I mean look at that awesome talent that I’m up against!
Anna from Noodlehead
Julia from Julia Bobbin
Krista from Lazy Saturdays
Katy from No Big Dill
Melissa from The Polka Dot Chair
Adrianna from Crafterhours
Check back Monday to see my Little Black Dress (that is assuming I finish it today)… I can not wait to see what everyone came up with!
