(my favorite shot, it’s SO her)
A few summers ago I started a Saturday Snapshots series here on the blog. I got away from it and decided that I should start it back up.
Basically Saturday Snapshots is a blog series that I started in order to 1)Get out my GOOD camera and take photos of PEOPLE (not just my projects). 2)A chance to share a bit more about me with everyone here.
This week’s Saturday Snapshots revolve around my oldest daughter. These are some amazing shots from her senior portrait session last fall. She’s grown into such a beautiful girl (soon to be adult).
She’s stubborn—- oh my is she stubborn…. It’s a trait I don’t like when she’s fighting with me, but a good trait to have since it makes her very determined.
This determined trait paid off when she found out that she got into her first choice of college last week (BYU). She worked HARD for it. Took the ACT more than a few times, is the co-editor of her yearbook, played sports for 5 years and went to numerous tutoring sessions. She was not one of those kids that ACT taking took naturally too. But she worked hard and studied and brought her score up to where it needed to be. I’m so proud of her. Little does she realize the hard work is about to really start 🙂
In other news… I won the Laundry room war (more on that to come) even though I lost the TV above the fireplace war.
Last but not least, I’m going to share with you each week a few links that are on my mind. Some are shopping some are links to other blogs (some may be affiliate links, full disclosure on my about page)- just food for thought.
I think I found the perfect swim suit cover up. I’ll buy it then let you know.
I’m anxious to see how the Virtual Quilting Bee turns out at Diary of a Quilter
My Retro Travel Bag classes are full at the Fabric Fest Riley Blake retreat, there is still room to go though and lots of amazing teachers.
I’m all stocked up on Project Life Olive Edition goodies- love it when my two loves of fabric and paper come together (ala Heather Bailey). I just finished 2012 and am ready to start on 2013 (just a little late).
Silhouette Machines are on sale through March 8th. Use code POLKADOT to get a discount.
Speaking of polka dots, Project Polka Dot officially kicks off Monday with an amazing guest blogger!
