Last month before I went to SNAP I decided to make a little notebook to take with me to take notes from the conference. I intended (don’t you love that word?) to make 2, one for me and one for Traci (my roommate)…. in the end I only got one done and gave it to Traci to thank her for agreeing to tag along with me.
I started with a simple spiral bound notebook. I then covered the front cover with scrapbook paper using washi tape to cover the seam where the paper met the notebook.
Underneath the front cover, just under that piece of yellow polkadot scrapbook paper is a business card magnet…. There is another business card magnet under that triangle flap on the side.
This makes it so that the cover stays closed on the notebook (the 2 magnets line up)
To make the triangle flap, all I did was cover the back cover with scrapbook paper, then added a triangle shaped piece to the back (making sure to score it so that it would fold over to the front of the book).
To the back inside cover I glued a stack of post it notes- that way she could tear them off an use them as she needed.
Traci’s an awesome doodler— as you an see she made good use of the notebook!
Love this. Keeping in mind for our church ladies retreat next year. Back to school sales could make this very affordable. Great idea!

Love how this turned out. I adore making these sorts of things, and then tell myself they’re too good to use – doh!
