ONE:

After I got my “stash” of Safari Party fabric last summer I wanted to make a summer tunic for myself using either the giraffe or pink elephant print. When I designed those two prints I always thought the scale of them would work well on apparel.

I never quite got around to making my tunic, but it is on my “to sew” list for next year for sure.

For her stop on the blog hop, Kate created this ADOrABLE tunic using the gold and blue/gold giraffe print from the line. I absolutely love how it turned out and think I need one for myself now!

The pattern is one of hers (she has a line of fantastic women’s sewing patterns) which is coming soon. She’s sharing a bit of a sneak peek at the pattern along with more details about her project on her blog. Just click here to visit See Kate Sew

In addition to chatting about Kate’s project, I also thought it would be fun to share with you a few fun Safari Party projects that have been shared on Instagram lately.

TWO:

Holly created her own version of Florence the Flamingo (pattern by Elizabeth Hartman) using the blues from the line! I love where the quilt is going and can’t wait to see it when it’s finished.

THREE & FOUR:

Deidra from Quilty Obsession has been busy stitching up lots of projects with the fabric including these adorable wallets and this cute pincushion (which I am now the proud owner of *woot*)!

FIVE:

Lastly, when I designed this line I did it becuase I wanted fabric to make bags with.  When I saw this fun insta post from Creations by M & J I did a happy dance! I love how she turned the prints into bags! You can find more info about her shop through her IG post below.

Thanks so much for following along with the Safari Party Fabrics Blog Hop! We only have one week to go! I’m going to be so sad when it’s over!

If you are stitching with the fabric be sure to TAG ME @polkadotchair so I can see all of your fun creations!!
