Join us for the 2025 Summer Block Party
The Summer Block Party is back for a second year, and this year we’re headed to the beach! Join us in creating a breezy mystery Summer quilt with quilt blocks designed by some of your favorite pattern designers!

Last year, a group of designers and I hosted a summer quilt-along! Each designer created a summer-themed quilt block, and we shared the patterns for these blocks with our readers who signed up for the quilt-along.
You guys seemed to love it, and it’s back again this year! There are a few changes from last year.
- Quilt Blocks are 18″ Finished (instead of 12″)
- Nine designers are participating this year
- Blocks are emailed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (not daily)
How it Works
Three times a week, starting June 23rd, we will email you a PDF pattern for an 18” Summer Quilt Block. Note: This year, the blocks will not be emailed daily; instead, they will be sent on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
We will send you finishing instructions on July 14th to turn your quilt into a 69″ x 69″ quilt!
Then, on August 15th, just like Cinderella’s coach, the patterns will all disappear! So you don’t want to sleep on this one!
How to Join
Simply fill out this form, and we will sign you up! Even if you already get emails from me, you still need to sign up.
Note: If you participated last year, you still need to sign up for this year’s quilt along.

FAQ’s
If I Signed Up Last Year, Do I Need to Sign Up Again?
You need to sign up again, even if you participated last year.
Who are the Designers?
The designers are me, Andy Knowlton, Amy Chappell, Amanda Niederhauser, Bev McCullough, Jennifer Lon, Jen Belnap, Amanda Castor, & Gracey Larson.
Where Can I Get Fabric?
You can find Riley Blake’s basic fabrics at many stores, including Etsy, Hawthorne Threads, and Fat Quarter Shop. If you can’t find the exact fabrics we used, that’s okay! This quilt will be really cute and scrappy! Or, if you don’t want to use solid fabrics, pick your favorite print fabrics to coordinate!
What Does the Quilt Look Like?
It’s a surprise! I will tell you all that the blocks are summer-themed.
Can I Get the Blocks Without Signing Up for Emails?
No, the simplest way for us to run this and keep it free is to deliver it via email. If you don’t want to stay subscribed afterward, you can easily unsubscribe (there’s an unsubscribe link in each email we send you).
Note: You only need to sign up with one designer. Enrolling in the quilt along will subscribe you to the weekly newsletters for all designers on the quilt along.
How Long Does It Run?
The quilt-along runs through August 15th. After that, the blocks will no longer be available. Some of the designers may offer them for sale individually, but that’s up to each designer.
What is the Skill Level?
I’d say this for a confident beginner to intermediate quilter. If there’s a block that you think is too difficult to piece, you can swap out any other 18″ quilt block.
I hope you’ll consider joining us! The fun starts June 23rd!
