The Cat Dash Quilt Pattern & Project Kits
The Cat Dash Quilt Pattern is a beginner-friendly cat quilt pattern made from three yards of fabric and a precut jelly roll!
Today, I’m excited to introduce you to our newest quilt pattern and discuss a new kit program we are introducing to the shop!
I’ve wanted to clear out some of my older fabric collections from my stash. In the past, I’ve put together 1/2-yard bundles, but this time, I’d like to run my next fabric destash in a more organized way.
So I sat and thought, sketched, researched, and spent way too much time thinking about the whole project, but finally, I came up with the idea for the Cat Dash Quilt Pattern using my Chloe & Friends Fabric.
What Makes this Pattern Unique
- This pattern uses six 1/2 yard cuts of fabric (3 yards total) for the Cat blocks, the Dash Blocks, the Border, and the Binding.
- All the background fabric is cut from a 2 1/2″ precut roll (sometimes called a Jelly Roll or Rolie Polie).
- The Dash Blocks are strip-pieced to save time!
- Quilt Size: 54” x 76”
- The supply list is intentionally kept simple to help you create a quilt that reflects your personal style and streamline fabric shopping at your local quilt shop.

Every time I release a new pattern, I get many “Is there a kit” emails! I’m so grateful that you enjoy what I’m creating and want to recreate it yourself, but I am a small business owner and don’t have the resources to develop a kit for all of my projects and patterns.
To give you guys more of what you want, I’ve decided to introduce Polka Dot “Drops.”
Introducing Polka Dot Drops, our brand-new monthly curated quilt project and kit series!
We will deliver a fresh, exclusive design packed with charm, color, and creativity each month. Kits will include fabric, a printed pattern, and video instructions for those who are still learning! (Videos will be on my YouTube channel).
Since we are a small business, quantities are limited, and each kit drops on the first of the month at 6 pm EST. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
In addition to the kits, we have a few other fun surprises in store for each month’s drop! Watch for sewing notions, stickers & maybe even totes and apparel.

Project Drops FAQ’s
No, There will be a variety of projects, and most will have a “quilty vibe.” In addition to full quilts, we are also planning quilted pillows, table toppers, baby quilts, and a few bags.
This month’s kit includes the now-retired Chloe & Friends fabric. You can expect to see a combination of fabrics from Riley Blake Designs, collections I’ve designed, and Sparkler fabrics. There will be occasional kits with my personal stash of retried fabrics, but most will be newer lines.
Yes, I’m a HUGE advocate for sewing with what you have, and I plan also to provide just the pattern for that reason.
No, each kit is sold individually. There is no commitment involved.
No, I’m sorry, but at this time, we can only ship to US residents. The patterns will be for sale in our Etsy shop for those outside the USA.
