Mountain Peaks Block for 2023 RBD Block Challenge

The Mountain Peaks Quilt block is a 10-inch quilt block pattern designed by Melissa Mortenson for the Riley Blake Block Challenge. It is a unique take on a pinwheel block and features striped blocks.

I’m thrilled to share the Mountain Peaks block, my design for the Riley Blake Designs Block Challenge for May 2023. Although I’m not sewing along with the challenge this year, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to contribute a block that is a fun twist on a pinwheel block.

I stitched up my block in my new Spooky Schoolhouse fabrics. Riley Blake has a version sewn in brightly colored confetti cotton solids.
