This is the seventh year I’ve hosted a block of the month series, and the second year I’ve hosted it on Patreon.
Last year, we moved to the Patreon platform and created the Polka Dot Stitch Society for the block of the month program, and I’m so happy with the move!

What is Patreon?
Patreon is a 3rd party service that allows creators like myself to provide exclusive content to subscribers. Think of it like a Facebook group before it made all the changes no one liked, LOL!!
The cost is $5 per month in US dollars (international members are welcome; the price will be in your local currency).
The price will go up on January 15th for new members; join before that date to lock in the price for as long as you’re in the group. (NOTE: Please use Patreon.com to join, not the app, as the app adds an Apple service fee to the monthly charge).
About the 2025 Quilt
As I went through my quilt sketchbook looking for ideas for our 2025 quilt, I realized that as much as I love Christmas, I don’t have a lot of Christmas quilts!
Since our Block of the Month program always wraps up in December, I realized that our 2025 quilt should be a Christmas quilt! I’m usually too busy during December to sew one and this way I can make a Christmas quilt slowly all year long.
Stitch the Seasonal Spakler Quilt slowly throughout the year, and at the end of the year, you’ll have a finished Christmas quilt!
I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas, so I’m also offering a second version of the quilt pattern that is winter/woodland-themed.
Both pattern versions will be included in the membership. Choose the one you prefer!

Frequently Asked Questions
What fabric is used in the quilt? Is a kit purchase required?
The quilt pattern features Riley Blake Confetti Cotton solids and my Sparkler Fabric collection. The colors are Bleached Denim, Songbird, Bear Lake, Clover, Celery, Riley Green, White & Red. You do NOT need to purchase a kit; feel free to sew with your favorite fabrics!
What if I don’t want to join month to month?
You can purchase the individual block patterns in the group; however, you won’t have access to the video instructions.
How hard is it to cancel?
You can cancel anytime through Patreon. If you prefer to wait and buy the patterns later, I will have the individual block patterns for sale in my direct shop.
Can I Join Later?
Yes, you can join at any time during the year. You’ll have access to previous content & videos in the Patreon but not the PDF downloads of the blocks you missed. Those will be for sale individually in the shop.
When Will I Get the First Quilt Block Pattern?
The first quilt block pattern will be released on February 10th, with video instructions on the 15th—subsequent blocks will be shared on the 10th of each month.
What is the Skill Level?
It’s an advanced beginner quilt; if you’ve made at least one quilt, you can do this! There will be videos to help you if you’re new to quilting! Some of the blocks are more intermediate, but I’ll walk you through them all! Beginning quilters are welcome!
