Introducing The Seasonal Sparkler Quilt Pattern
If you’re looking for a Christmas quilt pattern that combines classic quilt blocks with a fresh holiday color palette, I’m excited to introduce the Seasonal Sparkler Quilt Pattern. This Christmas quilt pattern features a collection of traditional patchwork blocks arranged in a festive sampler-style layout.
I know that it might seem a bit out of place to talk about a Christmas quilt in the middle of the summer, but this year we’re celebrating Christmas in July in honor of my new fabric collection, Claus & Co.

A Fresh Take on a Traditional Christmas Quilt
This quilt is one of my most recent quilt finishes! As you can tell, I’ve been on a bit of a tear trying to empty a lot of my WIP bin! There are several Christmas quilts and unfinished quilt tops in that bin that I’m anxious to get finished!
About the Quilt
The Seasonal Sparkler Quilt combines a variety of classic quilt blocks into one cohesive design, creating plenty of opportunities to enjoy fussy cutting your favorite Christmas fabrics if you’re making this from print fabrics.
While I designed this version using my Claus & Co fabric collection for Riley Blake Designs, the pattern would look just as beautiful in traditional reds and greens, soft winter neutrals, vintage-inspired prints, or any Christmas fabric collection you love.
The original version of the quilt was created with my Sparkler collection; you can also use solid fabrics.
I also have a quilt top that features Claus & Co. fabrics; all the fabric in the pattern is straight swaps (example: Fabric A Red becomes Fabric A Red Candy cane print), so it’s easy to follow the pattern no matter what fabric you’re sewing with.
Two Pattern Versions
This quilt is unique in that two versions are available. If you prefer to sew a winter quilt instead of a holiday quilt, you can swap out some blocks and adjust the color scheme.
This version of the quilt swaps red fabric for the Bear Lake (the dark turquoise) and swaps out the bow blocks for stars.
Both versions of the quilt are included in the pattern!
