Join Me for the 2026 Block of the Month Quilt Along

If youโ€™ve been craving a creative project that feels fun instead of stressful, I have something special for you. Iโ€™m so excited to officially invite you to my 2026 Block of the Month series, hosted on Patreon! This is a year-long quilting project designed to help you slow down, stitch with intention, and enjoy a little โ€œme timeโ€ each month; one beautiful quilt block at a time.

Because letโ€™s be honestโ€ฆ life is busy. And sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is sit down at the sewing machine, turn on a playlist, and make something by hand.

A Quilt That Fits Into Real Life

Starting a quilt can feel overwhelming, especially when youโ€™re looking at a big pattern and thinking about all the cutting, piecing, and planning it takes to get to the finish line.

Thatโ€™s why I love a Block of the Month.

Instead of tackling an entire quilt at once, youโ€™ll make one block each month, and by the end of the year, youโ€™ll have a finished quilt top (and a whole lot of new skills along the way).

Itโ€™s the perfect way to break a big project into smaller pieces so it feels doable, manageable, and actually enjoyable.

About the Quilt

This year, we are making the Heirloom Sparkler quilt! This quilt is a fun take on a traditional Bear Paw quilt block (and inspired by my Bear Paw Lap Quilt and 2024 Riley Blake Block Challenge Quilt).

  • 70″ x 70″
  • All Traditional Piecing
  • A combination of 3 different block sizes
  • Two color options

Quilt Kits

This year, I’m excited to once again offer Quilt Kits for our Block of the Month quilt. There are two colorways available:

  • Red, Blue, Navy, Pink & White
  • Green, Blue, Navy, Pink & White

You can also sew with your own fabrics! You are not required to purchase a kit. Kits are now available for PREORDER; the order closes on January 24th, 2026.

What Youโ€™ll Get Each Month in the 2026 Block of the Month

Every month in 2026, youโ€™ll receive everything you need to confidently complete that monthโ€™s quilt block:

โœจ A PDF quilt block pattern
๐ŸŽฅ Step-by-step video instruction
๐Ÿงต Tips, techniques, and helpful guidance as you sew
๐Ÿ“Œ A steady rhythm that keeps you moving forward without rushing

Whether youโ€™re a confident beginner or a seasoned quilter who wants a consistent project to work on, this series is built to support you.

A Year of Skill Building (Without the Pressure)

One of my favorite things about a Block of the Month is that you naturally improve your quilting skills as you go.

Over the course of the year, youโ€™ll get more comfortable with things like:

  • Accurate cutting and piecing
  • Keeping seams consistent
  • Pressing for flatter blocks
  • Matching points and lining things up
  • Building confidence with new techniques
  • Developing a smoother quilting workflow

And because the project is spread out month by month, you can learn at a pace that feels calm and realistic.

No cramming. No marathon sewing sessions. No guilt if youโ€™re a little behind.

Make Quilting Your โ€œMe Timeโ€ Again

I truly believe quilting can be more than just another project on the to-do list.

It can be a way to slow down when everything feels loud.
A way to reset your brain.
A way to make something beautiful, one small step at a time.

Even if you only have an hour here and there, those little pockets of time add up. And thereโ€™s something so satisfying about finishing a block, pressing it flat, and thinking: I made that.
