Join our Summer Block Party Sew Along
Join us in creating a breezy mystery Summer quilt with blocks designed by some of your favorite pattern designers!

I never know quite what to sew during the summer. Should I start a Christmas quilt? Or maybe Halloween?
Every year, when the Fourth of July rolls around, I wish I had a fun quilt to pull out and use. A few years ago, I made my Red, White, and Blue stripey quilt, which I love, but I’ve been wanting something more fun!
I was chatting with a few other quilt designers about our summer plans, and we came up with the idea of a Summer sew-along! We can’t all come and sew with you, but this is the next best thing!

How it Works
Each day, for 9 days, starting June 17th, we will email you a PDF pattern for a 12โ Summer Quilt Block.
We will send you finishing instructions on June 26th to turn your quilt into a 44โ x 58โ quilt!
The fun doesnโt stop there. Each Friday in July, we will send you a BONUS project to make with your 12โ blocks!
Then, at the end of July, just like Cinderella’s coach, the patterns will all disappear! So you don’t want to sleep on this one!

Fabric Choices
As designers, we decided to sew with mostly solid fabrics so that you could easily swap in your favorite fabric designs! We deliberately chose shades of colors to make it easy for you to decide which fabric you want to use!

Colors Used (all are Riley Blake Designs)
- Dark Red: Barn Red
- Red: Schoolhouse
- Light Red: Tea Rose
- Pink: Frosting
- Dark Blue: Oxford Blue
- Medium Blue: Cadet
- Blue: Cornflower
- Light Blue: Boy Blue (not pictured above)
We used Seasonal Basics, Stars in Red, White, and Blue for the background fabric. This quilt would be cute with any white fabric (like Sparkler, maybe??) or another low-volume print!

You don’t need the password for this project. Just fill out the form that is on this page, and we will email you the link for all of the summer block party patterns.
Iโve tried to sign up for the link to the patterns and it accepts my email but I never receive the email to confirm my subscription. Help!
Hi,
Did you check your Spam folder?
So, itโs past the time but I would like the blocks from the summer party. Is that possible?
Where can i find the patterns for the Summer Party?
how do we get the pattern for the block #1
In the welcome email under IMPORTANT there is a link to the email archive, so you can get any blocks you missed.
Where can you sign up for the Summer Block Party? I only see the comments section.
There should be a form on the page, it says “join the party”
You mention the 4th of July – how Independence day themed is the sew along for the non-American followers? If we picked a non-ref/white/blur palate would it work as a generic summer quilt? Thanks!
only one block specifically USA – you could substitute another 12″ block or make one of the other blocks twice.
How much of each fabric do we need for the summer quilt along?
