DIY Valentine’s Day T-Shirts and Free Valentine SVG Files

Who’s in the mood for love? Want to whip up a last minute t-shirt for Valentine’s Day? If so I’ve got you covered with 3 new SVG’s just in time for Valentines!

When my kids were young we used to make special t-shirts for them to wear on Valentine’s Day. It always made for a fun “crafternoon” in the middle of what is otherwise a pretty dreary month.

This year, I asked my teenage daughter to design a special SVG file just for you guys! I asked her for something she would wear, so hopefully, some of these will appeal to you and your older kids!

DIY Valentine’s Day T-Shirts & Valentine SVG Files:

Before you download, keep in mind, all of the files are downloadable on the Cricut files page. Just know, if you’re downloading on a phone or a tablet, it’s really hard to download an SVG and keep it an SVG. To keep things simple I prefer to download SVG’s on a desktop.

You will need to take all of these files into Cricut Design space and cut them. You can make t-shirts, mugs, tote bags! I can think of so many ideas.

Love SVG File:

This file features a fun take on a traditional heart t-shirt with a hand-lettered LOVE in the center of the heart. Grab it on the Cricut Downloads Page.

Be Mine SVG File:

This t-shirt is created with 2 different colors of vinyl. I used both red and pink. You can use only red or even eliminate the hearts if you’d like. It’s up to you! Grab it on the Cricut Downloads Page.

Heart Breaker SVG File:

When my son was younger he had a Heart Breaker t-shirt that I loved. He’s nearly grown now, but I still might try to convince him to wear a heart breaker tee this holiday (odds are slim that he will *wink*). Grab it on the Cricut Downloads Page.

What is an SVG File?

For those of you that are wondering what in the world I’m talking about… an SVG file is a file type that is supported by e-cutting machines. I have a Cricut machine. I can take SVG files and upload them into the program that makes the machine work and cut out my own designs. (You can read all about what a Cricut is HERE). Don’t let the whole “computer program” thing scare you. Cricut Design Space (the program) is very user-friendly. They also have a helpline and lots of videos on YouTube if you get stuck!

Right now, we don’t sell t-shirts already made (maybe in the future). Also, the files are free for email subscribers but you can’t sell items made from the files. This post is not sponsored but I do work as a Brand Ambassador for Cricut.

  • I am so excited to have a project featured in Quilts and More Magazine! ✂️ When I first started quilting it was always my favorite Magazine to pick up at the store. I can’t believe I have a project in it now. This little pin cushion caddy is super quick to make and would make a great gift for someone who loves sewing and quilting. The issue is in newsstands now. .

  • Looks like a nice size for a baby quilt right? Well it’s NOT SUPPOSED to be a baby quilt. It’s supposed to be the center block for our #justforfunquilt and it’s TWO TIMES TOO BIG! 🤦🏼‍♀️. Don’t know what happed to my brain this week. More explanation on stories. Oh- and don’t worry. The right block will be up on the blog tomorrow as planned. Also- next year for Halloween I’m going as a quilt with legs 😂.

  • I guess it’s time to transition the IG feed from orange to red 😉. Let’s talk Christmas crafting! 🎅🏼 🌲. I’m working with @officialcricut this holiday season to bring you loads of fun personalized gift ideas. First up this “believe” wood Christmas sign with 3D wood cut out. It was my first time to cut wood with my Cricut Maker and I’m so excited that it actually worked! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 It took a bit of trial and error but it worked! On the blog I’ve outlined how I did it , along with a few tips if you try it yourself. Just use the link in my bio then go to the home page. #cricutmade #cricutmaker #christmascrafts #handmadechristmas #handmadechristmasdecorations
  • Happy Halloween Witches! 🎃🎃🎃 Hope your day is full of fun and not too many scares! Photo is from a few years ago when the kids were little and we did things like carve pumpkins, and dress in matching costumes. Might still carve the pumpkins tonight and break out the hat - we will see 😉

    Hi:

Nice tutorial. I just wished we could get these files somewhere else. I have a Vameo and am able to open svgs but don’t have access to the Cricut Design Center.

I’d like to know also where I may purchase your fabrics. Thank you.

You don’t need Cricut for the files. They are standard SVG files which will upload into most software programs for cutting machines. You can find my fabrics online at fatquartershop.com and fabric.com

  • Hi guys! I’m very sad to be #missingmarket right now! The timing wasn’t great for me to go and I’m missing all of my friends right now. A few of you have asked and I do have a fabric line releasing in 2020. There aren’t any samples at market (usually Riley Blake doesn’t show samples of holiday lines at market) but I wanted to let you know to look out for it if you’re there ordering fabric! 🎅🏼 🎄 It’s called Santa Claus Lane and it’s inspired by my collection of vintage Christmas linens and postcards. (And that Hilary Duff song 😉🎼I )I wanted to design a Christmas line with a fresh and bright feel and am really excited with how it turned out. There are 21 prints (with Mr and Mrs Claus ‘cause we all know who does most of the work at Christmas 🤶🏻) and 2 panels with the line. One for pillows/quilts and one for stockings. The line will hit stores in May 2020 and I’m thinking a little Christmas in July celebration will be in order then. 🎄🎅🏼🤶🏻.
