If you’re looking for a simple way to add a little bit of something “extra” to your Christmas gifts this year, then you may like these simple Canvas Christmas Gift bags! I always love finding new, cute Christmas gift bag ideas, and hope that you’ll enjoy this one!
A few years ago, I decided to make some Gift Bags for my niece and nephews for Christmas. I thought it would be fun to stuff their Christmas presents into reusable bags instead of just wrapping them. With the intention that they could use the bags as the library or church bags after the Holidays.
Simple Christmas Gift Bag Ideas:
They were SUPER easy to make. The bags were purchased at a craft store. I just cute some cute silhouette images out with my Cricut machine and added a bit of text personalization!
If you want to make these Canvas Christmas Bags yourself, here’s what you need:

Plain White Canvas Bags – I got mine at Hobby Lobby, you can also buy them HERE.
e-cutting machine like a Cricut Machine
Silhouette Image and Font from Cricut Design Space.
To Create the bags:
Design your file in your design software. If you’re using a Cricut, add the image you want from the store and then add the text next to it. Click “attach” to make all the images cut at the same time.
Send the file to the machine. Make sure you click “reverse for iron on”
Load the fuzzy vinyl onto your cutting mat and cut out.
Attach the image to the canvas bag using an Iron or a Cricut EasyPress.
I did find it helpful to iron the INSIDE of the bags to get the heat transfer to stick really well.
That’s it! They are a simple and cute Christmas Gift bag idea. Such a fun way to “spruce” up a gift!
