A “Sweet” Gingerbread Man Quilt Block Pattern for the Festive Friends Quilt Along
Sew a twelve-inch Gingerbread Man-inspired quilt block with our quilt block pattern. This block is Block Four of the Festive Friends Quilt Along on the Polka Dot Chair.
First of all, before someone points it out, yes, I know that the buttons section of the block is wonky.
I didn’t realize it was that off until I photographed the block, and I’ll be going in and replacing that section before I finish my quilt! The directions are correct; I just forgot how to sew last week!
About the Gingerbread Man Quilt Block
Like the others in the series, this quilt block is inspired by one of the many “friends” we find at Christmas time, this time a Gingerbread Man!
The block is simple to construct and is made from flying geese quilt blocks and simple squares and rectangles.
What is the Christmas Quilt Along?
The Festive Friends Quilt Along is a free quilting event hosted on the Polka Dot Chair. During the month of December, create a fun Christmas quilt with our free Christmas quilt block patterns. Between December 1st and 20th, visit our site to print one of the adorable Christmas quilt blocks (blocks will be posted throughout the month; full schedule below). But don’t delay because, like Cinderella, the patterns will disappear at midnight on December 31st 2024. Now that the quilt along is over the patterns have been moved to our shop. Watch for a NEW QUILT ALONG December 2025!
