Daylesford Quilt Block Pattern

As a part of the Riley Blake Designs Quilt block challenge, I have a free quilt block pattern for you. The block is named Daylesford and is a unique take on a variable star quilt block.

It’s week three of the 2024 Riley Blake Designs quilt block challenge! This week’s block is a fun star block designed by Amy Smart of Diary of a Quilter.

What is the Quilt Block Challenge

The Riley Blake Quilt Block Challenge is a five month free quilt block series. Each week, January – May, I’ll share a free quilt block pattern (with the exception of the last week of the month, which is catch-up week). A different Riley Blake fabric designer designs each block.

About My Quilt Block

This block is a variation of a traditional 8-pointed star quilt block with a pinwheel motif in the center. The block is named after a posh farm that Amy visited in the Cotswolds.

I’m making my blocks from my new Tulip Cottage fabric collection, which is due to hit stores any day now!

The background fabric is Riley Blake Sparkler in white. I love that it adds just a bit of texture and sparkle to the background of the blocks.

How to Get the Block Pattern

If you fill out this form, I’ll email you a copy of the block pattern. This will add you to our weekly free newsletter, which will let you know when we have new block patterns to share. Also, don’t worry if you fill out the form for each week’s block. You won’t be added to our newsletter more than once!

You can also find the blocks on the Riley Blake website.
