Introducing the Claus & Co. Christmas Fabric Collection

Thereโ€™s something timeless about Christmas fabric that evokes childhood holiday traditions, treasured decorations, and cozy winter evenings. My newest Christmas fabric collection with Riley Blake Designs, Claus & Co, was designed to capture that feeling of holiday nostalgia while adding a playful, cheerful twist, perfect for quilting and sewing projects.

Inspired by the imagined charm of life at the North Pole, this collection is filled with whimsical details that feel both classic and fresh. From snowy village scenes to vintage-inspired florals, Claus & Co was created to bring a bit of Christmas magic to every project you make this season.

About the Collection

I designed Claus & Co as a way to capture the magic and wonder Iโ€™ve always imagined lives at the North Pole. I wanted the collection to feel cheerful and nostalgic, like stepping into a snow-covered village where every window glows, and every corner holds a bit of Christmas magic.

The prints were inspired by my favorite holiday traditions: rows of whimsical houses, vintage-style ornaments, candy canes tied with ribbons, and classic vintage-inspired poinsettia florals.

Throughout the collection, youโ€™ll find a mix of detailed novelty prints and versatile coordinating basics that work beautifully together. The color palette blends classic Christmas reds and greens with soft pinks, icy blues, warm creams, and touches of golden yellow for a collection that feels vintage-inspired without feeling overly traditional.

The collection also includes coordinates designed to make quilt piecing and holiday sewing projects easy to mix and match.

I was able to show the line at the International Quilt Market last Fall. Here are a few photos of the projects in my booth.

Designed for Christmas Quilts & Holiday Sewing

Claus & Co was designed with holiday sewing in mind. I’ve been writing projects for my site for over 15 years, and over the years, I’ve learned which fabrics you need to create a variety of fun things to sew for Christmas.

The prints are ideal for Christmas quilts, table runners, stockings, tree skirts, pillows, tote bags, and handmade gifts. I especially love how novelty prints can become focal points in quilt blocks, while smaller-scale coordinates add movement and texture throughout a project.

Claus & Co Project Ideas

As with my other collections with Riley Blake, this fabric line features a variety of sewing and quilting projects that complement the line. There’s even a free quilt pattern for you (just keep reading to see how to get it).

Christmas Panel Quilt

Another print in the Claus & Co collection is the stocking and squares panel, which features rows of mini Christmas stockings paired with coordinating text-style squares.

The squares are sized perfectly to use as the centers of quilt blocks, making it easy to create projects with a scrappy, pieced look without extra cutting.

The panel is ideal for quilts, advent projects, stockings, ornaments, and other handmade holiday decorations (like my Pot Holder parade pattern)

You can also simply quilt the panel as I did with a similar panel from my Ahoy Mermaids collection! Voila, Christmas quilt done!

Wide Back Cheater Quilt

The Claus & Co cheater panel features a collection of “pieced” 8-pointed star quilt blocks arranged in a cheerful patchwork layout and printed in bright holiday colors.

The best part? It’s 108″ wide!! If you want a larger Christmas quilt, simply buy 1 1/2 yards of the cheater, and you’ll end up with a quilt approximately 54″ x 80″ (you can go up to 107″, but I recommend making it slightly shorter).

Designed to capture the look of a vintage Christmas quilt, the panel combines classic star motifs with playful seasonal prints for a look that I hope feels both timeless and whimsical.

Gathered Precuts Quilt Pattern – Free

I also designed a free quilt pattern that combines the Christmas star cheater panel with a 10″ precut stack of fabrics from the line. The Gathered Precuts pattern is one of my all-time favorites (you may remember it from my Spooky Schoolhouse collection).

I designed the pattern to be approachable for quilters of all skill levels and comes together quickly since it uses a 10″ precut stack. The cheater panel does much of the design work for you, making it easy to create a festive quilt with lots of visual impact and minimal fuss.

The Seasonal Sparkler Quilt Pattern is a fresh traditional Christmas or winter-themed quilt pattern created from a variety of quilt blocks.ย

The original version was created with Sparkler fabrics, and the pattern translates perfectly to print fabrics!

I love the extra texture that the print fabrics add to the quilt!

Bows & Monograms Quilt; Christmas Edition

Did you know that our Bows & Monograms quilt pattern features 3 unique center layouts? There’s the monogram you may already be familiar with, and there are also a pumpkin and a Christmas Tree.

There’s also the option to add a border to the quilt, making it a bit larger (just the right size for snuggling by the fire).

    Star Bright Quilt Pattern

The Star Bright quilt pattern is unique in that it includes a spot to showcase your favorite fussy-cut fabrics. I designed the squares on the Claus & Co. fabric panel to fit inside the centers of the star blocks on this quilt!

    Festive Friends Quilt Pattern

Create a unique Sampler Quilt using our Festive Friends Quilt pattern! Mix and match the quilt block patterns to create a Christmas quilt that’s uniquely yours.

If you’re a long-time reader, you may remember this quilt from our December quilt-alongs. I’ve combined all of the blocks into one quilt and added an additional block pattern for you, too!

The gift-and-mittens quilt block is a new addition to this quilt pattern. I think it’s a fun new “friend” to add to the mix of others featured in the quilt.

    Arctic Sparkler Quilt Pattern

The Arctic Sparkler Quilt pattern is a Scandinavian-inspired quilt pattern created from Star Quilt blocks and Chain Quilt blocks.

Its simple three-color design allows you to easily change the look to fit any season or occasion.

The quilt pattern includes instructions for making both a generous Baby Size and Lap Size quilt. I love this version featuring the red candy cane print as the background fabric!

Designing Christmas collections is always one of my favorite parts of the year, and Iโ€™m so excited to finally share Claus & Co with you. I canโ€™t wait to see the quilts, decorations, and handmade projects you create with it.
