    Welcome to week 5 of the Riley Blake Quilt Block challenge. A free, interactive quilt along, hosted by the Riley Blake Designers. Follow along each week and at the end, you’ll have enough quilt blocks to create a Sampler Quilt!

    It’s week 5 of the quilt along! I love it when we get to this point in a quilt because you can really start to see how your quilt blocks will work together in your finished quilt.

    The Quilt Block Design

    This week’s block was designed by Christopher Thompson of The Tattooed Quilter. It features a series of simple squares and half-square triangles.

    This combination of squares and triangles allows you to create a multitude of quilt block layouts depending on the fabric you choose for your block.

    Supplies Required

    Basic Quilting supplies: Meaning, an iron, pins, rotary cutter, quilting mat, and quilt ruler. If you’re new to quilting be sure to check out our Recommended Supplies for Beginning Quilters.
