Riley Blake Designs Block Challenge; Block 12 & 13
This week we have not one but two new quilt block patterns to share with you. Patterns for blocks 12 & 13 in the Riley Blake Designs Quilt Block Challenge!
We are winding down to the last few weeks of the Riley Blake Designs 2022 Quilt Block challenge. After this week, there are only three more block patterns. After the previous block pattern is shared, I will have quilt finishing instructions to share with you.
I’m playing some catch-up this week and have two finished blocks to share with you.
Block #12: Argyle Square Pattern
Melaine Collette designed the Argyle Square Quilt block pattern. It features two quarter square triangles and two four patch quilt blocks.
Melanie’s my version of the block made from Melanie’s Primrose Garden collection.
Riley Blake created the block from some of their confetti cotton solids.

Block #13: Double Cross Pattern
Block number thirteen in the challenge was designed by Sue Daley and is called Double Cross. I thought I would struggle with this block, but it came together quickly. I managed to unpick block #12 four times! For some reason, I only seem to have trouble with the simple blocks.
Here you can see the block sewn in confetti cotton solids.
This block was created with Sue Daley’s Colour Wall fabric collection.
