There are so many fun ways to embellish a simple zip bag. One of my favorites is to add. a bit of applique to the front of the bag. It can be anything from a monogram to a shape or, in this case, a piece of candy!

This bag is a little different than a few of the zip bag tutorials I’ve shared in the past in that it features rounded corners. I also added zip tabs to the ends of the zipper.

14. Love & Heart Zip Bag Patterns

The bags are constructed from white canvas (sometimes called duck cloth). To soften my canvas, I washed and dried the fabric cut before I started sewing. I also used felt to add letter and heart applique shapes.

  2. Thank you for the ideas and inspiration for these zippered pouches. I must make some as gifts for graduation will be helpful going off to college in the fall. In my gift pack I am including the wet hair towel wraps which I used Terry Cloth and some coordinating fabrics as a finished band and a stretchy hair tie for the button closure at the top forehead area wrap. Feel free to include these on your website.
